Ziyart of Kheda

Kheda is a mother of Kunta-Khadji (1860г)
Kishi married Kheda and in their religious family six children were born: four sons (Movsar, Kunta, Viskha, Mutsa) and two daughters (Mata, Khapta). Much later, Kunta-Khadji, one of the sons of Kishi and Kheda, a well-known spiritual sufi-scholar, who propagated Islam in the North Caucasus, moved to Vedeno district, to the Ertin Hill and founded a village there called Khadji-Yurt (Khadjin-Evla). His mother Kheda also moved to this village.

Kishi, the father of the great sheikh, died before that and was buried in the cemetery in the village of Ilskhan-Yurt. As the elders say, Kunta-Khadji led his mother to a wasteland and said that she would be buried there. Kheda cried and said: "In what uninhabited wilderness you leave me, my son. But do I have the right to contradict you?" And Kunta-Khadji said: "Usual mourning ends in a maximum of a week, but mourning for you will continue until the beginning of the Eternity. Does not this prove that you will not be left alone for a single moment, and that Muslims from all over the world will always come to you?"

In 1276 on the Muslim calendar (hijra) the mother of Kunta-Khadji, Kheda died and was buried in the place showed by the sheikh. The shrine was built by Said-Alvi, the son of Said-Selim, the grandson of Jamalaylah, the direct descendant of the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He came to Chechnya with seven friends from Saudi Arabia. According to Said-Alvi, his father Said-Selim said him to go to those distant lands where the grave of Kunta-Khadji's mother is located and build a shrine over it so that Muslims can come to her and ask God for mercy and blessings for themselves and all the people. Years later, the shrine changed and was damaged by people. The shrine was restored several times. The last time it was restored and updated on behalf of the Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov in the summer-autumn of 2009. Today, this shrine is one of the most beautiful and visited holy places of our republic. This shrine is visited not only by our compatriots, but also by Muslims from neighboring regions. And they all ask the Almighty Allah for mercy for all the followers of Islam, not dividing them into nationalities
