The name of the village of Khoy, located near the lake Kezenoy-Am, can be translated as “guards". Its inhabitants, most likely, were on guard duty, because the village was border. In the past, a massive battle tower of the XIV-XVI centuries, decorated with many petroglyphs, stood on the edge of the village. At the end of the XX century, the tower was destroyed. Now, the battle tower of the XIV-XVI centuries is completely restored.
